17/08/19 ASHVILLE 4 Marshalls FC 1 Match Report
Updated: Nov 11, 2019
A much better start than midweek passing the ball nicely from the off, game all even in the first 15 minutes in terms of possession and chances, but it was the visitors who were closest to getting on the scoresheet first a corner after 25 minutes which resulted in hitting the upright, the deadlock though was finally broken in the 39th minute when Joe Kelly broke down the right with a well timed pass for Sam Hunt to put past the Marshalls keeper 1-0 the villa, A great move in the 43rd minute with the non-stop Lewis Moynes threading a beautifully weighted pass for Sam Hunt to score his second of the game, going in at half time 2 up was thouroughly deserved.
In the first minute of the second half Ashville were caught unaware with the visitors pulling a goal back. With the deficit now only 1 Ashville started upping the pressure and in the 59th minute Jack Ledsham put a cross in for Tom Johnstone to head home number three. Ashville were comfortable at this time when the home side won a corner Abe Dobson delivered the ball which was met by Shaun Parrington with a bullet of a header burst the back of the net to finish the game four goals to one.
